Location
Maitreya Festival 2007 will be held in the great Australian outdoors, around 2 1/2 hours from Melbourne in the amazing Grampians. Directions as follows:
From Melbourne:
Follow the Western Highway towards Horsham. Follow through Stawell. 10.5km after Dadswells Bridge , home of the giant koala, you will see a sign on your left for Laharum and Zumsteins. Follow the signs to Laharum. Just after you pass through Laharum follow the turn off on your right to Brimpaen. Follow this road until you see the Checkpoint #1 sign, take the road left and follow again to the Checkpoint #1, and you're there!
From Adelaide:
Follow the Western Highway towards Horsham. Pass through Horsham and follow the Henty Highway for approx 40 km. You will see a sign pointing to the Grampians tourist route and Brimpaen. Follow the road past the crossroads through Brimpaen for 8km. You will come to another crossroads. Turn right onto Schmidt Rd and follow the signs to Checkpoint #1.
From Sydney:
Follow the Hume Hwy through Albury/ Wodonga, turn right onto the Midland Hwy going through Benalla, Shepparton, Bendigo and Castlemaine. After Castlemaine take the Pyreness Hwy towards Aarat. Turn right onto the Western Hwy towards Horsham. 10.5km after Dadswells Bridge , home of the giant koala, you will see a sign on your left for Laharum and Zumsteins. Follow the signs to Laharum. Just after you pass through Laharum you will see a turn off on your right to Brimpaen. Follow this road until you see the signs to Checkpoint #1, take that road left and follow again to Checkpoint 1 !, and you're there!
